Professor Vivek Muthurangu is a Professor of Cardiovascular Imaging and Physics at UCL ICS and specialises in congenital heart disease CMR.

 

As lead for the Centre of Translational Cardiovascular Imaging, Professor Muthurangu has established a team of physicists, engineers, computer scientists and clinicians that have pioneered the development of new imaging technologies with real clinical impact. He has been at the forefront of developing Machine Learning (ML) techniques to further speed up MRI, reduce post-processing burden, accelerate computational fluid dynamics and enable autonomous robotic catheterisation.
